Generally we find 25% to 40% of that withdrawn stock could possibly be re-marketed, re-used and the remittance re-invested, and of course the morality of throwing a possibly reusable book to waste, written off and pulped is non preferential with Librarians and rightly so, particularly for a government funded library.
